High School Scholarship
Established in 1988, the mission of Russell Medical Foundation scholarship program is to advance the health of the people of Alabama, specifically Alexander City and the Lake Martin areas by supporting medical and health education. The Russell Medical Foundation scholarship program is designed to assist and support outstanding students who will fill Alabama, specifically Alexander City and the Lake Martin area’s healthcare workforce needs in the future.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduating high school senior
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Score of 20 or above on the ACT
The foundation gives preference in awarding this scholarship to employees, the children or relatives of employees, and the children of deceased or retired employees of Russell Medical.
Applicant must submit the following to be included in the selection process:
- Completed application form
- Resume (leadership, volunteer, and/or work experience)
- High school transcript
- Brief summary of college plans and anticipated career path
- Three (3) letters of reference
- ACT score sheets
